COLLOIDAL SILVER
By Liz Pavek (c)2001
A few years ago, someone introduced me to colloidal silver. I forget the name of the individual, but I will be grateful to them forever.
At first, I was curious about this magic potion, simply because something like this was so completely unusual. Then, I remembered that delivery rooms are required by law to put silver nitrate into newborn babies' eyes as a way of preventing blindness from syphilis in the mothers. Next, I remembered that silver solutions are used on burn victims to control infections in burns. It does not sting or burn in these wounds.
So, I pursued the thread a little further, and found abundant information on the substance on the internet. A simple search today will turn up site after site with CS for sale. Each site contains information, as well as offers for solution and generators.
Yes, generators. It's a little current generator used to create electrolysis. There are all sorts of configurations: A simple contraption which contains wire leads with alligator clips, an indicator light, and 3 9-volt batteries hooked together in series, all the way up to high-capacity HVAC (High-voltage alternating current) powered sets complete with stirrers (stirring makes good solution). Electrodes consist of .999 fine pure silver, but you can even use .999 fine silver ingots.
(NOTE: NEVER USE STERLING SILVER FOR ELECTRODES. ALWAYS, ALWAYS USE .999 FINE PURE SILVER)
Colloidal silver has been shown to kill or disable around 650 microbes of whatever configuration.
"As an antibiotic, silver kills over 650 disease-causing organisms; resistant strains fail to develop. Silver is absolutely non-toxic. Silver is the best all around germ fighter we have. Doctors are reporting that, taken internally, it works against syphilis, cholera and malaria, diabetes and severe burns."

There are about a hundred links to internet sites that want to sell you colloidal silver in very small bottles with very big price tags. But it is not necessary to purchase this overpriced and (in some cases) probably diluted solution. But, if you can make quarts of it for yourself for just pennies, why should you spend anywhere from $9 to $30 for a 1 oz. dropper bottle? Here's how:
In distilled water, the electrodes are connected to the generator by the alligator clips and the generator is turned on to work its magic. At the rate of one cup (8 oz) every 15 minutes, the solution is prepared. It will look like nothing. Plain water. But, taste it before you throw it out! If it is made correctly, it will have a bitter, metallic "edge" it, but should still be palatable. After storing overnight, it might even turn to a golden yellow or even a pale purple (simple tricks of light). The actual particles of silver are submicroscopic, being "ions." A laser pencil will cast a beam that will reveal that there is indeed "something" in your solution, since the laser beam passes invisibly through plain water.
You can make your own for pennies. After the initial investment in the generator, electrodes, and a gallon of steam-distilled water, you are in business. Get a clean glass jar, and fill it with distilled water. Heat the water if you wish. Attach an electrode to each of the wire leads, and turn the generator on. Time it by figuring 1 cup = 15 minutes. If you have a quart jar, that's one hour. Stir it every few minutes, using a plastic spoon, and remove the electrodes at the end of the time (metals that come into contact with the silver ions remove the tiny electrical charge that makes the CS work, leaving it nothing more than metallic-tasting water with no special properties).
There are also lots of little nuances and tricks in making the silver solution, but if correctly made, it is not only not harmful, but extremely beneficial.
